  I came to town in a 2013 Nissan Leaf attempting to make Lake Tahoe up a difficult-for-electric-cars climb of about 6000 feet. I was running out of charge and knew I'd be forced to make a tough decision. Then I ran into Squirrel at the Strawberry Station General Store. Squirrel was one of a handful of people who went so far beyond the call of duty as to be etched permanently into my memory. He not only told me I could charge my car, but upon finding that it worked best with a NEMA 14-50 connector, he proceeded to wire one for me on the spot--as the pictures below will attest. I can't imagine a more welcoming personality to greet an outsider when they come to Twin Bridges, and when I'm back in the neighborhood I'll definitely be back.
